One of the joys of reading as many biographies of ministers as I have is to see where their journey began and the twists and turns life, and how the Lord led them to become great men in Christ and the church. But, the burning faith of the father is not always the faith of their sons and daughters.One of my heroes is Barton W. Stone. He pled for a return to the NT church while Thomas Campbell was still in Ireland. BWS had several children. I want to mention a son, BWS, Jr. and a daughter Mary. Junior became a leader in the church in Dallas. This daughter was Mary, was a devout Christian and she had a son......Charles Chilton Moore. Charles went to at Bethany, our school in West Virginia. This grandson, Charles Moore preached but lost his faith. He became a Deist, Agnostic, Atheist and lost all sense of a moral code. He was sent to prison and became the most hated man in Ky. Great Faith of a father does not insure a faith in a son a daughter, grandson or granddaughter. Chances are a lack of faith in a father will almost guaranty a lack of faith in children. 1 Share your faith. (Tell of your faith) 2 Show your faith. (Demonstrate your faith) 3 Glow your faith.
